MY FRIEND RITA AND ME.

Hello! I am María Béjar and I'm from Molvízar. I am going to write about my friend Rita Lamego and me, she is from Portugal, but the has lived in Spain since 2006. She and I first met at Camilo Jose Cela Street, in Molvízar, and we became great friends. Both of us are in the same class.

To begin with, I am going to write about our physical appearance. She has light brown hair with red streaks, her eyes are brown and she wears glasses too. She almost always wears a T-shirt, trousers and a pair of trainers, the same as what I almost always wear. About me, I have black hair, my eyes are green. As I have just said before, I almost always wear a T-shirt, trousers and a pair of trainers. The colour of my skin is too paw, different from Rita's colour skin, which is too dark.

Rita helps me a lot. She is much similar to me in many aspects. She is an open-minded girl. She is funny and makes me laugh with her jokes. She is good at sports. Rita is very friendly to everyone. Many things of us like hobbies, likes, dislikes... are similar. We love listening to music, watching cartoons and playing together. I think I help Rita and she helps me too. She is very confident. I am not. I am very shy.

She isn´t always studying, this makes me angry with her. In fact, she has promised me to do better in the classroom and exams. She is helpful. We can always have a funny time together. Our likes and dislikes never match. However, we are best friends. I am lucky to have and such a good friend from my childhood.

THIS IS ME!

First of all, I am going to introduce myself to you! I am María Béjar, I am 15 years old and I am from Molvízar. I haven´t been in a foreign country yet.
To begin with, I am going to write about my image, I don't know what I can tell you about it. I wear casual clothes. I almost always wear denim trousers, T-shirts and a pair of trainers. Nevertheless, in other ocassions like weddings, first communions, or other special days, I wear smart clothes. Moreover, I wear jewellery too.

Secondly, I am going to explain three things that I lovee. I like spending Saturday evenings with my friends, although I lose much time. On the other hand, I love playing my clarinet (if I spent much time playing it, I would play it better). After that, the third thing that I love is watching "Águila Roja", but I can hardly ever watch it.

Finally, the three things that I hate are: hate false people who look your friend, but actually they stab you on your back. Other thing that I hate is people who tease you, and people that are in your interest. I don't like wearing clothes that don't match.

From now on, I am going to try distance myself from these people.

MY VILLAGE THEN, AND NOW.

I live in Molvízar, a small village in the south of Granada, I like my village, but I reckon that it needs some reforms and new things. I have asked my parents to learn more about my village, and to do this composition.

There was the same population as there is now. There are 3, ooo inhabitants approximately. In Molvízar, there used to be a lot of small shops, now there are fewer than have used to be. Also, there used to be old houses, now, there are some blocks of flats. There was a church built in the XVIII Century, and it is the same as we have now. Its appearance is similar to it before the reform. There are other important buildings, such as "La Compañía", which is now a museum, and the Town Hall.

Fifty years ago, not many people had cars, people used to ride on animals like mules, donkeys, etc to move and transport things (specially goods). And they went to all the places on food. What atrocity it was! Now, most people have got a car or a motocycle (although there are people who have two or more means of transport.) We can also move by bus or taxi. 50 years ago, there was also a bus.

In the past, many people used to emigrate to other countries to look for a job in another place.
People used to enjoy playing in the street (playing football or playing with cloth dolls) or going to the cinema, because there used to be one then. Now, there isn't a cinema, but there are some bars. Children enjoy playing with mobile phones and other technological things. Children used to be by 8 o'clock in the street, now we are in the street much longer.
In the past, there was a state school, and now, there is the same, but it has been reformed.

In my opinion, Molvízar was better in the past. Then, social life was healthier than now although now there are more technological advances.
